About Aromasin (Brand) Exemestane Tablets

Aromasin (Brand) Exemestane Tablets:-

Aromasin (chemical name: exemestane) is an aromatase inhibitor approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to treat:

  • post-menopausal women diagnosed with hormone-receptor-positive, early-stage breast cancer after they've taken tamoxifen for 2 to 3 years to reduce the risk of the cancer coming back
  • post-menopausal women diagnosed with advanced-stage or metastatic hormone-receptor-positive breast cancer

Women stop taking tamoxifen when they start taking Aromasin.

Aromasin won't work on hormone-receptor-negative breast cancer.

Aromasin is a pill taken once a day. Most doctors recommend taking Aromasin at the same time each day.

Selective Aromatase Inhibition for Effective Cancer Care

Aromasin (Exemestane) is a highly selective aromatase inhibitor, clinically proven to lower estrogen levels in postmenopausal women. By blocking the aromatase enzyme, it effectively limits estrogen-driven tumor growth. The product is exclusively indicated for postmenopausal breast cancer treatment, providing targeted therapy and optimal patient outcomes when used as prescribed.

Dosage, Administration, and Safety Precautions

Intended strictly for oral use, Aromasin 25 mg should be taken as directed by a healthcare professional. Its safety profile necessitates careful administration, particularly in patients with hepatic or renal impairment. Regular monitoring and physician guidance are essential. Tablets should be stored below 30C, protected from moisture and light, with a shelf life of up to three years from manufacture.

FAQs of Aromasin (Brand) Exemestane Tablets:

Q: How should Aromasin (Exemestane) Tablets be taken?

A: Aromasin tablets should be taken orally, once daily, after a meal, exactly as prescribed by your healthcare provider. Do not crush or break the tablets, and ensure regular, consistent dosing for best results.

Q: What is the main benefit of using Aromasin in postmenopausal breast cancer patients?

A: Aromasin lowers estrogen levels by selectively inhibiting the aromatase enzyme, which helps prevent the growth of hormone-sensitive breast cancer in postmenopausal women.

Q: When is Aromasin contraindicated or should not be used?

A: Aromasin must not be used during pregnancy, in premenopausal women, or in anyone with a known hypersensitivity to exemestane. It should also be used cautiously in those with liver or kidney impairment.

Q: Where should I store Aromasin tablets to maintain their effectiveness?

A: Keep Aromasin tablets in their original bottle or blister at a temperature below 30C. Protect them from moisture and light, and always keep the container tightly closed to maintain potency.

Q: What precautions are important for patients with liver or kidney conditions when using Aromasin?

A: Patients with hepatic or renal impairment should use Aromasin with caution and only under close supervision by their doctor, as the medication may affect how the liver or kidneys process it.

Q: How does Aromasin work in the body to treat breast cancer?

A: Aromasin inhibits the aromatase enzyme that converts androgens into estrogen, thereby reducing estrogen levels in the body and limiting the growth stimulus for hormone-dependent breast tumors.

Q: What is the process for obtaining Aromasin Tablets?

A: Aromasin is a prescription-only medication. To obtain it, you must have a valid prescription from a licensed healthcare professional and purchase the medication from authorized pharmacies, dealers, or suppliers.
